This is a new version of the video originally released in 2011, with slightly updated content. It's a unique perspective on what Christianity teaches to our youngest and most impressionable.

Seth Andrews released an updated version of his video "Welcome to this World" – the original was posted on the old rd.net site here.  He showed the updated version during his talk at the American Atheists Convention in Austin this past weekend.

  1. Scary that without proper introduction, I might have assumed this was actually made by Christians trying to brainwash or scare the shit out of their young ones.

Then again, I am a cynical bastard, so it might just be me.

I know, right?… The same exact thought crossed my mind while I was watching it.

That’s the thing about a good parody! YECs in particular are so creepy and ridiculous, that it can be hard to tell sarcasm from their rantings or slippery sales pitches to children!

What a most beautiful way to show the absolute absurdity of religion!

I disagree. Looking at a newborn baby and seeing it as nothing but a corrupt and evil sinner is not “absurd”. Christianity’s view of children is poisonous and vile in the extreme.

  2. You atheists think you’re so smart but your vanity blinds you. Your own hands accomplish god’s work while you exult in sterile sarcasm. You have outdone us in making a beautiful indoctrination video. True christian mothers will learn from it how to instill everlasting allegiance to god and love for jesus in the hearts of their newborn warriors for christ. Put down your load and join us on the Glory road!

For not writing Jeebus with a capital J he is gonna be mighty pissed at your lack of deference and will rain a plague of locusts on you shortly…quickly, on your knees and pray. MERCY MERCY!!!

Yes whiteraven, people do the hard work and your god comes along and takes the credit. That’s why he is such a douche. And I am confident that I speak for all my fellow atheists when I say that we don’t want to join you on your “glory road” or in your glory hole or whatever the hell it is that you’re talking about.

NB: My comments are based on the assumption that whiteraven’s post was not poe.
