Welcome to RichardDawkins.net!

A few notes to get you started:

RichardDawkins.net is The Official Richard Dawkins website, and is maintained by myself and an international team of like-minded volunteers. We post the content that we think other fans of Richard's work will enjoy.

Does Richard Dawkins run this website directly and post the articles himself? No.
Richard is in contact with a couple of us directly, and he sends in exclusive content and articles. He did directly maintain a Tour Journal during his last book tour for The God Delusion, which you can view here. You can also sometimes find him posting comments on articles or in The Forum.

Two websites: RichardDawkinsFoundation.org and RichardDawkins.net
Originally it was all one website, but RichardDawkins.net has now been split into two parts. One is a website for The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, which is a non-profit group with charitable status in the US and UK. This website is more for current events and discussions.

Articles
We try to post relevant articles from around the web on a daily basis, and thankfully many of our readers send in great links! If you've found a great story that belongs on RichardDawkins.net, please email articles@richarddawkins.net. We have a wonderful global community here with their eyes all over the web, and that is really what has made this website great.

Forum / Accounts
If it's your first time here, be sure to check out The Forum, which is growing every day by leaps and bounds. Create an account, and you can use it to post messages there in the forum or to comment on articles. We have a whole team of volunteer admins and moderators in the forum who are there to help if you have any questions. They can be contacted through the tech support forum.

The Archives
We have a HUGE database of articles, videos, audio and pictures, so be sure to check out the archives. Search by author, title, keyword, category, or date. If you'd like to see all of the articles on this website written by Richard Dawkins (some exclusive) click here.

Recommended Reading
We've assembled a list of Richard's books and a list of books by other authors that we recommend.

The Root of All Evil? Video
If you haven't seen it, hurry over here. You can also buy the DVD through our online store. Richard Dawkins was also recently in a TV program called "The Enemies of Reason."

Richard Dawkins' books
Is there a suggested order to Richard's books? I don't think there is, but I'd read The God Delusion first if you haven't. It's still fresh off the press and on The New York Times bestseller list, so you can bring it up at the watercooler. The Selfish Gene has now been in print for 30 years and is a million-copy bestseller, so don't miss it. A lot of people claim that The Blind Watchmaker is their favorite, and for good reason. And if you love books like I do, get the British hardcover edition of The Ancestor's Tale! It has TONS of color photos, along with one amazing magnum opus on Evolution.

MySpace
We have a MySpace.com account, feel free to add us (preferably to your top friends!).
