You can almost hear the giddiness in their voices talking about america going down under gods wrath and the saved gloating over them being right. Aids is proof of God's hatred of gay sex, that's clear. But what do we make of the low incidence of HIV among lesbians?

God must have a hard time picking favorites among the nations, since the gays don't always cluster together as in the Castro.

Maybe it's not gay sex God hates. Maybe it's "celebrating" gayness God finds offensive.

Actually, a dose of this stuff every now and then is necessary -- a reality check on other people's unreality. Sometimes I think "Nah, millions of Americans don't really think like that...then I watch Kenneth Copeland's half hour and get a rude reminder.

Last week he was talking about how the U.S. Naval Academy took a model of Noah's Ark and ran it through a ocean weather simulator (whatever that is??!!) and they "couldn't sink it" thus proving it was true!!!

I'd like to know if U.S. tax dollars were actually spent on this and when. These people are a bit of a worry.

Isn't it interesting that this MacArthur lunatic suspects that God has more destruction in store for the United States, though of course he says that he prays this won't happen, but yet "God would be just" if it does. I wonder if Mr MacArthur would still be so certain of God's justice if his own city was being destroyed? It seems the most perverse religious beliefs are simply manifestations of male sexual insecurity.

I suppose it's too much to ask that viagra and DNA testing of offspring will soon negate the need for all this (In China it manifests itself as a callous trade in exotic and endangered wildife with 'potency' attributes).

I honestly wonder if these men are so corrupt because they deny what they desire more than anything, more than power, more than money, that is of course to have sex with another man. Could that honestly be the reason????

Can you imagine the self centerd torturous reasoning these neotenous minds contemplate, literally like children not allowed to put their hands in the candy/sweet jar, ultimate reward for doing so, ultimate punishment for not and decide its better to destroy the jar so nobody can have it. Too far fetched? well after food consumption sexual desire/requirements is perhaps central to all peoples motivations.

John Macarthur is the pastor of Grace Community Church in LA, near where I grew up. It's gotta be one of the, if not THE biggest evangelical church in LA. He's not fringe at all, that crackpot. I still have friends that probably were in the audience crying as he said this.

When I used to go to church as a kid I used get a lot more coughs and colds than I do now. I am forced to conclude that God was punishing me for church attendance. I once got a very bad case of tonsilitis in easter week, after attending five services. What more proof can one want?

Hehehe don't worry mate, I remember a while back on one post I had the most hideous go at someone who I thought was being utterly horrible, I was convinced I was right and I read it again and again, only to be told by Professor Dawkins that I had got it wrong, I still blush even now!

I really do think the religious are getting more and more depressed as time wonders on, all this "God is angry with us" is not doing them any favours!

Why is lesbian sex 'ok'? Because men get off on it. Why is gay male sex not ok? Because men feel threatened by it. So here we are back to the same old same old. Mention sex and it's always a man-centred world. Now take a look at the article called 'manliness next to godliness'. It's nothing to do with religion. Religion is simply the stick used to beat people with. Always has been. What we are seeing right now is the stick used by patriarchy. Which has never been good news for women: lesbian or otherwise.
