avatarWell, I've only listened to half of it so far but what I'm hearing is an articulate interviewer who's totally sympathetic to Richard's ideas and is providing him with a wide open platform to express them. Refreshing to hear, after all the instances of people cutting him off or surrounding him with idiots who haven't read the book.

avatarYes, excellent. The guy basically allowed Richard to present an overview of the book and to respond to some of the criticisms levelled against it. That has to be valuable. I hope the audience figures were good.

avatarMcNally offers a fine example of how to prepare and conduct an interview, starting with actually reading TGD. Richard was afforded plenty of opportunity for discussion, and was allowed to put his case without the confrontational interruptions that have been so common in recent interviews. I thought the music interludes were well-chosen. I note the good news that KPFK is no longer just "for all of Southern California", but is now "streaming globally".

avatarVery good. A professional interviewer, well-researched and not there just to hear the sound of his own voice. Let's hope that this "upsurge" of atheists in America he spoke of is really going to get a head of steam.

avatarGreat radio show, does anyone know the name of the country singer at the start?

I think the song is 'Let the mystery be' by Iris Dement. In fact I liked it so much I have just downloaded it from Limewire. Great singer and great song!

Great clip. Good to hear an interviewer who is informed about the subject, asks intelligent questions, gives generous airtime to the answers and interjects only at the most appropriate points.

A refreshing change, in fact.

avatarThanks RichardC, I vaguely remember her album "My Life" from way back. I'm not generally a fan of country music but that girls got something special.

avatarGood interview. Interviewer obviously agreed with Richard but he asked him alot of questions and I felt Richard got his point across.

I have a response to Mr. Mcnally saying that people who criticize Mr. Bush are accused of being Bush haters.

And who are those people saying people who critisize Bush are "aiding terrorists" or "Bush haters"? I don't think it's a stretch to say they are Christian/conservatives, once again thinking with their gut instead of their heads. This is just the same kind of retort they use when someone criticizes their religion, except in a different wrapper.

avatarWhat a great programme. I think this one should be kept as a sticky on RD's own forum. If only there were more opportunities to get this length and style of interview into the various media.

avatarWhat a delightful interview. I have listened to many interviews with RD and this one is by far the best I have heard. RD, when not having to be defensive, is so beautifully expressive. I will come back to this interview in future as I found it so soothing. Thanks for the post!
