Thanks to Norm at onegoodmove.org for the link.

Brother Brigstocke's Travelling Secular Salvation Show suggests that: "Religion is hard, it's too hard for most people, whereas humanity is relatively easy. All you have to do is be you and try not to be a dick."

 avatarThis fella knows humor =^.^=

At first I habitually raised my hackles at the article, reading the line "Religion is hard, it's too hard for most people, whereas humanity is relatively easy." It being an argument used (in reverse) to suggest that my disbelief was a simple case of my being either lazy or stupid. It was nice to see it used to greater effect here.

avatarTruly great stuff. Too bad Marcus won't be appearing on the final two episodes of the current series of The Now Show.

Incidentally he's posted a thank-you to RD.net on his website:

The healing bit was brilliant. I would love to see/hear a whole sketch based on that concept.

Hello! I'm having trouble getting my Mac to recognise the downloaded file - it seems to stream it ok but I can't convert it to an mp3. Anyone have a link to an mp3 of this so I can stick it with last weeks polemic on my iPod?
Thanks

Scratch what I said before, I've recorded it, re-encoded it as an mp3 and now present it to anyone who needs it at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FV7BWH0H

avatarI'm going to see him at the Glee Club in Birmingham in October. I saw him last year too at the Artrix in Bromsgrove. Good live stand-up. I think he may have found a constituency :)

Just listened to this and it was a pleasant reminder of seeing Marcus on tour last year.
He performed this routine as part of his stage show and, as I was sat on the front row wearing a scarlet A t-shirt and glasses, it was me that got 'healed'.
Had a long chat with him after the show, really sound bloke.

avatarBrilliant-just brilliant-lets applaud Marcus for this and wonder what would the world be like with out religion to mess things up-the last 2000 years would be peaceful (largely) and mankind/humankind could have achieved so much more....

Woo, I saw him live last year and he did it to me! YAY!

Made up for being stood up, and alone in the front row...

Glad this is online somewhere, I dunno why this isn't on youtube? I just spent ages trying to find this, to explain my comment about having my sight healed...
