Do The Limbo?

Thanks to Si Overson for alerting us to this article!
While the rest of the world has been wrestling with the current situation in the Middle East, North Korea setting off more nuclear bombs, and the frightening effects of Global Warming, the Vatican has been concerned with one of the great issues of humanity: whether or not Limbo exists.
It looks like Limbo, the place where unbaptised souls of babies and the pre-Jesus unsaved have been hanging about since the 13th Century, may be axed from official Catholic theology. The International Theological Commission has been dealing with this tricky issue after Pope John Paul II suggested the Church should look for "a more coherent and enlightened way" of describing the fate of innocent babies. While most Catholics like the idea of getting rid of Limbo, others are concerned that one cannot simply do away with a hypothesis that has been part of official doctrine for hundreds of years.
It is amazing any of us can sleep at night when the fate of millions of souls hangs in the balance.
