Many thanks to Kutluhan Celik for the comics!
Two cartoons from Turkey commenting on current events surrounding the Atlas of Creation and our website.
The one with our infamous fishing lure is from the weekly Uykusuz (Sleepless). It translates into English as follows:
Adnan Hoca has his knife on the theory of evolution [There's a pun here. The phrase "kancayi takti" translates into "having one's knife on sth.", and the word "kanca" means "hook", which is why we have the string and hook following from the letter K.]
The website of the famous evolutionary theorist, Prof. Richard Dawkins was banned by court order upon complaint by Adnan Hoca. There's an article mocking Adnan Hoca's 6 kg. opus, "Atlas of Creation" on the site. Take a close look at this photo, which is the reason why Dawkins mocks the book. Did you see what hangs out of the [vulgarity referring to the insect's bottom] of the insect that finishes the theory of evolution? Isn't that a fishhook? Any chance this might be a plastic fishing lure? Oh, Adnan Hoca; you were so fooled while saying "I'll finish evolution!"
The other is from the weekly Penguen (Penguin). The angry looking man is an allegory of Tarzan, and he's apparently trying to introduce himself to the Internet. The lady at the corner comments: "We're going back to the monkeys[' age] dude..." The misspelled caption reads: "The website of the evolutionist Richard Hawkins [sic] was added to the list of banned sites."

Whatever else the Bible might be – and it really is a great work of literature – it is not a moral book and young people need to learn that important fact because they are very frequently told the opposite.
