14. Comment #325726 by Mr DArcy on January 22, 2009 at 12:32 pm

 avatarWell done Richard!

I thought it was a good series, very reasonably presented. What struck me about the programme was that the ?Kenyan bishop appeared to want to learn something from Richard, whereas, the creationist McKay in Australia dismissed evolution as faith, and the American magazine editor was equally aggressive and full of obnoxious gases. Some people just don't or won't learn.

Congratulations Richard and to all who worked on the series! :-)

The only thing that surprised me about the series was that it was even better than I had expected. It was clear and insightful on so many levels.

Absolutely compulsory viewing.

avatarCongratulations to Richard and Josh and all those involved.

I have seen some great documentaries in 2008, most of them with a considerably higher budget for CGI (and such as History channel's Evolve series).

I will be sure to order my copy when it is available, it will be a delight to watch it again.

* cough * and then I can get rid of the copy I taped of TV and burned onto DVD * cough *

avatarI found it hard to post the first comment on this thread when it was first presented a few hours ago, so I waited a while.

I can't say that Richard's series was the best that I have seen over the last year (I'm an awkward TV critic), but I can say that it was of exceptional quality, and I am also pleased as to what this may mean for society in general. If a series celebrating the discovery of where we came from based upon evidence can be so highly regarded then I can only hope that the majority of the country is open to reality being explained to them in such open terms.

Cogratulations to Richard and everyone involved.

avatarCongratulations to all involved in the making of this fine series. Now if only they could get some US channel to show it over here, where this kind of information is desperately needed!

(Speaking of evolution in America, the February issue of National Geographic, featuring Darwin, contains a fine article by Matt Ridley on Darwin's legacy: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2009/02/darwin-legacy/ridley-text)

WOW! Congratulations Richard and WC Media!

I hope this means there will be another series, perhaps based on The Greatest Show on Earth. If so, please keep it positive, don't even mention creationists. Let the science excite you.
