avatarThis series is always a highlight to my day. I caught myself wishing George Carlin was still around to do something with these guys.

avatarHmm...this was kind of boring. Though I guess it would be entertaining to people still trying to make up their minds.

 avatarRod,

http://www.otterpopstars.com/

A Yankee classic. Dunno if they made it over the pond. I grew up on Fla-Vor-Ice, which is the Otter Pop's bastard cousin.

Or IS it?!

EDIT:

The Face Off!

Okay, I think these are improving. I always thought Mr Deity wasn't funny when it was just conversations between Larry and God in the form of a thinly-disguised argument that religion makes no sense.

This is funnier though, to have the absurdity as the setting, and not as the message. And the writing seems to have gotten sharper too.

avatarNo, I didn't think this was as good as most of the other episodes. The Mel Brooks punchline seemed weak, and I have to say the guy playing Death is not exactly subtle as an actor. The other characters (Lucy/Larry/Jesus/Adam) have a lighter touch. Even Mr Deity seemed to be trying a bit hard in this one.

I'm still hooked on the series, however!

avatarThanks for the explanations. In my family we call them Freezies. I just checked the technical literature (I walked over to the freezer, pulled one out of the box, and read the label - "Mr. Freeze"). They are approx. 35 cm/14 inches long. Since it is almost the last one, by definition that means summer is over. A large volume of the freezer space will now be made available for normal food items. I just checked again, and found another dozen or more behind the partition, so they will last a bit longer.

My name is Brian, and I am an addict. In hot weather I consume way too many for my diet. They are 100 calories each. Costco is my temple, where I buy large boxes of them. I must get control over these urges.

Our Golden Retriever also loves them, and is now trained on how to pull small pieces out of the plastic tube, with his teeth.

avatarrod - You'd be amazed how deft Otter Pops/Freezies can be at hiding in the freezer. Just when you think they're gone, you find another under the ice tray or frozen pizza.
