Secular Coalition Education Fund’s Policy Leadership Program

The Secular Coalition Education Fund’s Policy Leadership Program focuses on two main initiatives: 1) creating new leaders for the nontheist community and 2) educating these leaders on the important policy goals for SCA and the nontheist community at large.

Applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis but space is limited. Each accepted student will receive a stipend of $500 for their participation. For the application, click here.

Requirements for entering:
• Commitment to church-state separation public policies and passion for improving the political strength of nontheistic Americans
• Enrollment in a D.C. area higher education institution in Fall 2010
• Ability to travel to D.C. for bi-monthly program events

Applicants chosen for this program will gain unique leadership and advocacy opportunities. Leadership training sessions held with some of the most well-respected, recognized secular leaders will teach participants to:
• gain an overview of what it takes to be an effective secular leader;
• increase self-awareness and enhance their leadership strengths and skills.
• learn about key issues affecting the secular movement and
• practice effective communication

In addition, participants will attend bi-weekly policy sessions where they will become knowledgeable about the public policy concerns important and relevant to nontheists in America.
