Richard Dawkins on UK TV 1st and 8th September

The UK TV channel More4 is currently broadcasting a Richard Dawkins's Age of Reason series, featuring repeats of all his TV documentaries.

Tonight (Weds 1 Sept, 9 - 11.05 pm): The Enemies of Reason

Radio Times description: Professor Richard Dawkins fights the recent rise of what he sees as pseudo-science such as NHS-funded alternative therapies, a surge in online conspiracy theories and psychic forecasting. With the help of Derren Brown, he exposed the tricks of the trade, arguing rational principles should prevail over the new wave of superstition.

Next Wednesday (8 Sept), 9 pm to 12.05 a.m.): The Genius of Charles Darwin

Radio Times description: Richard Dawkins presents a guide to Darwin and his revolutionary theory of evolution by natural selection, which he considers to be the most important idea ever to occur to a human mind. Dawkins explains who Charles Darwin was, how he developed his theory, what it is and why it matters, arguing that the theory changed for ever the way people see themselves, the world and their place in it.
