Religion and intragenomic conflict questions.
Can stress created by religious attitudes, anti-choice activists or similar social pressures, disrupt the stability of a newborns genome? Given the tremendous guilt, intimidation, forced counseling, unscientific advice and vociferous mobs some young mothers and fathers must face, can these things trigger epigenetic switch effects or genetic disorders through imprinting? If so would this parent-offspring conflict be transgenerational and thus a legal reason to challenge these practices?
Just inquisitive,
William
