I saw Roger Waters last night. I was poking around his web site today and came across this quote. The show defies description. The sheer creativity and explosive nature of the music was breath taking. But, the reason and the driving force behind both the music and the spectacle is an over riding distaste for violence and war.

If anyone has a shot to see this and opts out; you are missing the chance (and it WAS pricey) to be in the room with a real genius. We use the word too flippantly. We say "brilliant". We say "genius". We say lots of things. In this world of superlatives, where dish detergent has to be EXTREME dish detergent. Where advertisers would have you believe that your life is not complete unless you have a new EXTREME cell phone and that light beer will give you the beach body that the gym never did,. In this world "genius" has been bastardized and diminished to be almost meaningless.

I'd like to discuss who qualifies as "genius" and why. I'd like also to take a moment and look up your suggestions and experience their genius and then agree / disagree discuss. Who are the geniuses?????
