Although this may be a small local issue, I still would appreciate everyone's help.

In our public school system in Toronto Ontario, some schools are allowing Muslim students and visiting Imams to hold prayers in the cafeteria. This is in opposition to the Ontario Education Act, but supposedly supported by our Charter.

This is worrisome as many students may feel pressured to attend ... not to mention the actual teachings of Islam are deplorable. But the thing about this that outrages most people is the girls have to sit behind the boys while separated by tables. To make matters worse, the 'unclean' menstruating girls must sit apart from everyone else. How humiliating.

There is a petition in place to stop this misogynistic, medieval nonsense.
