Octopus intellect

I recently watched a brilliant documentary concerning octopus intelligence, their problem-solving abilities and how they can learn quickly by observation.

This got me wondering how long it would be before the octopus creates religion.

I suddenly saw a crystal clear image in my mind of an octopus descending an underwater mountain with a tablet clutched in each of its eight tentacles.

The 8 commandments of OctoGod.

I just wondered whether or not anyone had any insight into how Cephalopod Theology might turn out?
