On reflection, I would rather they put the Brick Testament in schools than the KJ....
It may not be a literary masterpiece, but it is a work of art....

I wish Mr Gove woukd worry about more serious matters, like why religous education in this country is seen as the most fitting place to discuss morals.
When my daughter sits her exams this summer, I don't see the how her ability to answer a question on alcoholism in society has anything whatsoever to do with religion - yet it is a question that was on her mock exam from a past paper.
If we teach children that religion and morals go hand in hand in our schools, many will never realise that they don't. This is mis-education and needs to be addressed!

I would like to see a scientific explanation for why people believe in the supernatural. They aren't hearing or seeing something that isn't there, but they still "sense" that it's there.
We are pattern-seeking mammals, and we often see patterns that arn't there - like shapes in the clouds - because the cost of false positves are generally minimal, the cost of false negatives can be fatal (if you fail to see the predator creeping up on you)

One only has to wonder at how pure 'holy' drain water woud be.
I do hope no-one drank it in any large quantities, otherwise they might end up with a rather unholy set of symptoms.......
But hey, has the Onion run anything so silly as this story this year
I mean, arresting someone for showing a miracle to be a natural occurance? It really is a big joke, and this guy needs a good lawyer and a fair judge or he's looking ata maximum sentance for speaking the truth.
Shocking

Just reminded me of a really tight-fitting t-shirt a sexy young woman wore last summer.
On the front it says, just under her ample cleavage (which was prominantly displayed), "What would Jesus Do?"
And as you turn to see her posterior as she passes, it says "Turn the other cheek"
