I don't see how the Reverend missed Hitchen's arguement against God. He repeated it a few times. God is manmade, and nobody has ever been able to demonstrate differently. God simply does not exist.
I am also surprised to see that the Reverend never got past the title to the subtitle. It is "How RELIGION Poisens Everything," is it not? To say that he attacked God exclusivly and not religion is just wrong. It was obvious that the Reverend could not defend his own holy book.

8. Sam Harris in conversation with Oliver McTernan
Comment #38854 by Kmullen on May 9, 2007 at 10:27 am
I think Oliver has missed the point of Sam's book. The title is "Letter to a Christain Nation." Nation is in there for a very good reason i think, because he is speaking to American Christians. I agree that elsewhere there are many Christains that share Oliver's version of Christianity, but here in America, that is not the case. I also think Olivers Christianity should be questioned just as the rest of it. Sam is right, either Jesus was the son of God, or just an ordianry man who died like an animal. If you take the first, then your belief is at odds with modern science and you should provide adequate evidence for that belief. If you cannot, then your belief should not be taken seriously.
