I haven't read all the replies, but here is the bit that bothers me.

Evolution or God - take your choice, kid!

...And there's the rub, evolution (by definition) has no plan...If there is a plan, then it CANNOT be evolution.

Whereas the idea of god (an Interventionist one at any rate) requires a plan... If there is no plan, then it CANNOT be god!

This happens to be a contradiction that is completely and utterly unreconcilable.

So, anyone who says that God directed evolution to culminate in "us", is either ignorant of what the theory of evolution by natural selection even is, or is outright lying to your face.

What (in gods name) is the big deal? Maybe the guy just wanted to save jebus' flesh for a midday snack.(Hell, i save jebus' blood to calm me down after a hard day at work...)

I haven't read all of the responses yet, so i apologize if this has already been covered, but what do they mean by "Earth like" planets?

Are they talking about density? Atmospheric content? Proximity to the star?

Are they able to detect oceans of water and atmospheres consisting largely of oxygen and nitrogen?... What exactly do they mean by "Earth like"?
