1. Reality wins in Texas!

I work in Dallas and have not one, but three atheist bumper stickers and a Darwin fish on my car and have never been bothered. I do get some strange looks from coworkers in the parking lot, but none have ever asked me about them.

2. Debate between Richard Dawkins and John Lennox

Comment #76709 by nancyjesse on October 6, 2007 at 8:44 pm

I was front and center at this debate, drove across four states to see Richard and I too was dissapointed in general. It was really not a "debate" as Richard was not given an opportunity to properly answer Lennox. I did however, thoroughly enjoy seeing and hearing Richard in person and just tuned out Lennox when he was preaching.

I love the t-shirts, I just ordered mine and intend to wear it here in Texas. The bumper stickers are nice too and I will put mine next to the "I love Richard Dawkins" bumper sticker I already have. I intend to wear it to my sisters house because everytime she comes to mine she has on a jesus t-shirt.

4. Medical 'Miracles' Not Supported by Evidence

Comment #32129 by nancyjesse on April 15, 2007 at 10:18 pm

My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer last summer. She lives in another state and chose to come to Texas to MD Anderson cancer center in Houston for her treatment rather than relying on the "hick" doctors (her words) in Illinois. After weeks in the hospital, chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, she was cancer free at 6 months. I was with her in the doctor's office when he told her she was now cancer free and rather than attribute it to the wonderful and highly skilled doctors, nurses, techs and others she simply said "God did it". I almost fell in the floor! I asked her where the evidence of this was and she told me that her entire congregation back home was praying for her and that cured her. I couldn't hold back my disgust and then asked her why the church folks couldn't have prayed for the "hick" doctors to cure her. I guess that was just too difficult.

His hands aren't too small, the proportions are just right... if Jesus is a midget.

7. Atheist Outreach: Group Coaxes Unbelievers Into the Open

I live in central Texas only 25 miles from Dubya's ranch, so am surrounded by religeous nut jobs. I find it very difficult to find any like minded individuals to talk to, it can be very lonely and isolated. I too would love to find a group to join.

Have to agree with the above ladies, I too have lusted for Richard. He personifies the perfect male; rich, cultured, handsome, smart, sexy and that enchanting accent! I'm in love.
