Am I the only one who is greatly encouraged by the religious dogmatists' claims that only the faithful are buying these books by dawkins, et al? To me it smacks of panicked desperation - they realize that the sales figures could give fence-sitters pause, be a catalyst for some potentially free-thinking people to give a look and see what the fuss with reason and logic is all about. I've been noticing it more and more recently, especially when hitchens stepped in and ratcheted it up another notch, like he does so well.
