Well, I don't know about Bible burning, to each their own I guess. I remember one night while doing religious research though, I had a fit of pious rage and decided to pee on my old Book of Mormon.
I don't care if that offends anybody and I am not trying to make a political statement...it just made me feel good. Can't that be good enough?
2. I believe that there is no God.

I personally don't like the word "believe". I don't "believe" God doesn't exist. I don't "believe" in evolution. I accept evolution as the best answer. I accept the reality that God doesn't exist.
Sam Harris said it best when he defined an atheist simply as "Someone who refuses to deny the obvious." It is hard to say it better than that.

Hi everybody, I'm new to the board. I sent the following to Father John....
I'm sorry father, but that was just about the hardest interview to watch on Fox and Friends.
You believe in a God, and that is fine...but please, do not mischaracterize those of us that choose to accept reality for what it is. After hearing your comments, I very seriously doubt you read the books you claim to have read. The examples and arguments you put forth are elementary, and quite frankly, illustrate just how ignorant you are on the subject of atheism. The complex eye? Evolution offers a beautifully rational explanation of just how ill-designed the eye really is. We "suffer" our atheism? Only to the extent that we have to hear the mindless, ill-informed dribble you spouted.
I can save you the time of actually reading the books and tell you how our mind works in a single sentence....Us atheists have simply made a conscious decision to engage in independent and rational thought. That's it. Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens, and Dennett are not pushing anything on us. Nobody is is coming to our door preaching to us that we are going to suffer for enternity for not believing a certain way, we choose to read these books.
If Dawkins is supposed to refrain from talking about religion, perhaps you should refrain from talking about science.
