its all about having the perfect inner child imaginary friend....

Hmmm, at times I am lonely, living on my own but don't people have hobbies, jobs, etc..... I certainly not believing in a God! but it might be cool.. I wonder what my God would be like? hmmmm. it would give me something to think about..

on second thought, I have put away child like things...

2. The devilish church practice of exorcism

sick! sick! sick!

I grew up Catholic and I have a mother that has schizophrenia. Growing up and raising a mentally ill mother on my own was a fuck of a lot of work when her friends and the local priest all believed that God was talking to her. Nothing like have a fish knife to your throat or a gun pointed to you when she was in a full delusional crisis…. When you are young, all you can do is try to get her to the hospital and hope for better medication.

The Catholic Church should have no right what so ever and dealing with mental illness.

Fuck we need to get out of this barbaric society.

It really makes me upset to hear shit like this!!!

4. LA Church 'agrees abuse pay deal'

Comment #56657 by justin willemse on July 16, 2007 at 7:28 pm

So, I have been thinking about this and been wondering why just the settlement. I can't believe that ALL 500 victims agreed to this! Why just the money and not the time in jail in which these priest very well deserve? Is it because the priests are protected by the Vatican which is a state power? It sounds like our own country's laws do not apply against the Catholic Church; therefore justice can never be fulfilled? It would be like a country taking another country to court. Is that possible?

What is protecting these abusers from the rest of the world? Which law(s) is allowing them to run off? What can our own countries do to change this? I wish that this could be challenged. Something must be done to take the Vatican State or any religious power to court. The Pope should be taken to jail for protecting and hiding his criminals for example! One could very well look at all the crimes they have committed. It is incredibility overwhelming and sick but nothing has been or can be done.

OK, I can not find in this article if the priests will be put to jail for their crimes. If an average person did this, they would be put to jail and serve their time. Does this pay out mean that these priests are off the hook???? If so, I am outraged!

6. Vatican cardinal calls on Catholics to stop funding Amnesty

It is sad that the church is doing this loop hole, converting THEIR sins and blaming it on others. Not surprising! With Africa is such turmoil with poverty, AIDS, War, lack of water to feed animals and crops and government corruption (probably with the help of the church) , it is no wonder that people can't see beyond the church's lies and realize that something needs to be done. The Church thinks God is going to solve the problem. WHAT!!! Do they believe in magic!!! I wish that someone could take the damn church to court and punish and make them pay for the spiritual abuse they have done to Africa!! AND EVERYWHERE ELSE! I would glad to be part of that!

7. God not out of the question for most Canadians

Comment #54365 by justin willemse on July 6, 2007 at 2:26 pm

New to this and I must say it is a pleasure reading many of these comments!
I am a Canadian as well and found this almost NOT surprising.

The idea that God created the universe and humans sickens me! However, I have notice a recent trend that is not related to education as the article is saying. Considering that we are going through a war fighting along with the Americans in the Middle East, I have notice an increased re-birthing of religious expression. Especially with extremist Islamic groups bombing up people all around the world! People are scared! Many don't know the Islamic culture and as result run to the old time familiar church for guidance and spiritual help. Churches are soaking this up, that what gets me!!!
