if you accept xenocratics definition of what a terrorist is then you equate accidentally killing a pedestrian with a car to filling a car full of explosives and detonating it in a crowded marketplace.

the difference is INTENT. yes, coalition forces have killed civilians in iraq but im pretty sure that if we wanted to kill as many civilians as possible (as xenocratic seems to think is americas goal over there....) we would not have tried so hard to limit civilian casualties over there, which we have.

compare this to the terrorists over there right now........i get on cnn.com everyday to find out about a new shocking sectarian bombing in some crowded marketplace, with the only motivation being that the victims believed that muhammeds successor was a different successor than the perpetrators.

is america PERFECT over there in iraq? no, of course not. abu gharib was pretty heinous, as were the haditha killings. (xeno might not acknowledge that the perpetrators of the haditha massacre are being tried for WAR CRIMES, but trying these people as war criminals doesnt fit his and chomskys description of the usa as terrorists). but i think its pretty hard to compare the US with the jihadists that are blowing the crap out of each other right now because of seemingly minor difference of opinion as to who should have succeeded muhammad.

also, xeno kind of creeps me out with his apparent WORSHIP of chomsky. anyone else agree?
