1. Debate between Richard Dawkins and John Lennox

This debate was incredibly frustrating to listen to. The format was incredibly biased...A passage is read from TGD, Richard comments on the topic, Lennox gives a ridiculous retort, repeat. I find it difficult to qualify this as a proper "debate" when Dawkins literally had to demand the right to respond to Lennox's comments. I did find it amusing that at a debate structurally biased against Dawkins and sponsored by a Christian organization, that there seemed to be as much (if not more) applause of Dawkin's points as Lennox. It's good to see that even in Alabama, the rational atheists are gaining in numbers and not afraid to show it.

"He's a very entertaining guy, but he suffers from existential insecurity: everything has to be proven before he'll believe it."
How dare a scientist want to see scientific evidence before blindly believing in something? ridiculous!

mark1958, i suppose if someone stole my copy of "Origin of Species" and put it in a toilet that would be a hate crime as well. No. It would be theft and destruction of property.

I find it disgusting that Mr. Hooper tries to justify this being called a Hate Crime because it supposedly intimidates Muslims while the Muslim world dances around the issue of whether or not they support Jihad or suicide bombings.
"Do Not Offend or Intimidate us or we will blow you up".... you tell me who is trying to intimidate who.
6. Must the US president believe in God?

Ideally, No. Realistically....and unfortunately....yes. A candidate must believe in God to be elected President in this day in age. Although, I personally think that some (if not most) simply act religious because they feel its politically necessary.
