1. I am Darwin

If I did a clip, I might end it with "I am Darwin, and I don't have a black box."

Here's another one.

"Why do you atheists only target superficial theology? There are far more nuanced theological arguments out there which can easily handle all your objections."

In other words, there are some marvellously persuasive arguments for God's existence out there - but we philistine atheists content ourselves with the easy targets. Really?

There's also the opposite of the Hitler/Stalin claim. This is to claim that some brilliant scientist or thinker was a Christian or a believer in God, with the suggestion that since it was good enough for them, it should be good enough for you. For example "Newton was a Christian!", "Einstein believed in God - are you saying you're smarter than Einstein?"

4. Atheists don't believe in anything

It's like saying that vegetarians don't like any food, just because they don't eat meat.

In similar vein to my above comment, another debate point could start with the phrase "I Prayed To Jesus And..."

The following occurrence is, of course, given as the 'proof' that Jesus is real. The number of occurrences is of course limitless. Some examples are:

I Found My Dream Job.
My Cancer Went Away.
My Sick Child Got Better, Despite Doctors Saying There Was No Hope.
I Got Back Together With My Ex-Spouse
I Won The Lottery (At A Time Of Financial Crisis)

Here's a suggestion. It could be succinctly referred to as The Great 180, From Sinner To Saint, or Road to Damascus. While it's far from the most intellectually respectable pro-God arguments out there, I think it's worth tackling. The fact that some people undergo very abrupt personality shifts after converting to a religion is, for many believers, confirmation that a divine force exists. After all, 'nothing' couldn't have evoked such a transformation, according to them.

"Uncle Joe was a worthless liar, gambler, womaniser and petty criminal. Then one day he found Jesus and instantly became a different person. His once-rocky marriage is now going strong, and he hasn't gambled, been unfaithful, touched a drink or been in trouble with the law since then. How could he have done that if Jesus isn't real?"
