Big fan of AC Grayling. He taught me philosophy at London Uni.
One issue he hasnt mentioned though...the British national anthem.
Britons generally hate the awful tune and the link between monarchy and the supernatural makes us atheists (and republicans) squirm.
Prince Charles has quite rightly said he wants to be the 'defender of faithS' when crowned instead of his dour mother being 'defender of faith'.
What about a 'defender of no faiths' and a complete split between state and church for the benefit of other religions and non-believers.

Channel 4 really is becoming a great mouthpiece for our movement. It could get even better though...I've just read that David Miliband is a confirmed atheist. Make that man Prime Minister!

It has all gone too far now....Danish cartoons, teddy bears etc..it is time for the governments of the secular west to start putting pressure of these crackpots.
Im off to live in Sweden where 85 percent are atheists and yet the crime rate is low and they have the best welfare system in the world

I posted this.
It is good that faith is under attack because believing in impossible propositions such as resurrections, burning bushes and free virgins for murderous martyrs is exactly the problem.
It is time for us atheists to fight back and help the masses to think for themselves and use common sense.
Intelligent humans have outgrown the purely cultural phenomenon of religion.
If we don't stop religious hysteria, which includes all moderate forms in my opinion, then a third World War will wipe us all off the map.
