First I'd like to know what part of the Cam that's behind this site (I doubt it is the entire university).
Secondly I'd like to know how a state with no state religion could qualify as an example of atheist violence? Religion existed in the USSR as well, just not state religion. I mean, what makes the current government/state of Sweden more religious than the USSR? Nothing at all within the Swedish government is governed by religion. We have a official religion but it has no connection with any ruling body within the state.
[edit]took a better look and saw it was created by the faculty of Divinity at Cam and Ox. They say they will have "...no set view on the subject"...but somehow I doubt it.

"Hell mail, 'cause you know your letter will arrive 4 years late" I mean, what better way to torment ppl than delivering their mail far too late?... ...well... ...why the hell (XD) else would hell need a postal service?!
the fact that I'm from the secular country Sweden, made it hard for me to really consider it serious. Felt like some movie teaser for some weird comedy show movie...a bit like the "Terminator and Jesus" thing.
I do however (nearly) realize it is real...but wtf guys (and girls), why blame it on his friend?! If God just would've really proved his own existence, everything would've been alright.
And to answer you Newk. Lower than you think, much lower.

"I need a young priest and an old priest..."
"The power of Christ compels you! The power of Christ compels you!"
Well, seriously, I sort of think that this is more scary than the movie...
also, I'm not so sure about the "interest in Satanism and the occult has grown". Nothing I've noticed anyway, but hey, I'm not the closest man to god, so how could I possibly know (also, I am living close to Norway (famous for their satanic black metal)so I should have rather high standards:P).

LotR are good movies (but not as good as the books). And yes, Shelob is an evil monster, but this dude would've eaten her for breakfastXD
Man, I would not like to meet one of those.
and for the movies...I can really see them taking the place of todays zombie movies. Crappy B-class horror movies, with titles like: "The return of the huge bloody Scorpion of the sea!" XD
6. Georgia plans service to pray for rain

You, know...something strikes me when I'm reading this article. IF they believe that they can get rain solely by praying for it, why not pray for something more important? I mean, aren't they supposed to be a "friendly" religion (like all say they are)? Then why not pray for world peace? Or even better, that every person on earth becomes happy and has a good life? (which indirectly would mean world peace)
So, why don't they?
You wanna know what I think? I think it's because they don't really care about such things. They're just selfish superstitious fools, no matter what they say.

I'm getting sad and scared of the world when reading this. Honestly. Where is the world going? Lucky I live in Sweden and not in the US...
But Sweden is getting worse every day as well. As fast as every other country in the world. For example, take the latest pictures of Muhammad published in Swedish newspapers(the first ones were in fact published in Denmark...but the Muslim world seemed as good at geography as the US (pardon my prejudice), and they attacked Sweden as well). People are seriously discussing whether or not you should be allowed to publish those kinds of pictures...makes me scared. And what makes me even more scared is that nobody really stands up and says: "No, that's shit. We want our freedom of writing/publishing. It is important to our democracy"...makes me scared...and why do the Muslims care about whether or not a small Swedish newspaper publishes a picture they think is Muhammad? If they care so much about other ppl committing heresy, why don't they just say: "Well, that's not really Muhammad". If they think it makes Muhammad less to draw a bloody picture of him, why do they agree that it is Muhammad?! By doing so THEY are making him less as much as the ones who drew the picture. And since the creators of the picture obviously doesn't care, it is really just the Muslims' fault that "Muhammad is made less"...Scared of the world...Is this the beginning to the end of the world?

Cornwell is talking bull**it. Listened to that radio interview...or parts of it. I turned it off after a while since I felt all Cornwell said was total and utter Bull*hit. Richard made an as good debate as he could have considering Cornwell. You can't beat religious bullshit with reason. No matter how well you argue.

I read as far as "It kicks Richard Dawkins's...", then I stopped. Seemed like a waste of time to read the rest. I'd rather spend my Saturday playing minesweeper than reading the rest...or sit and watch how the newly painted paint on my walls dries. But hey, can't write any more - gonna go and Sweep some mines;P

What are the prospects for wiping religion off the face of the earth? Stalin attempted, in vain, to eliminate religionists by working them to death or hanging them. Hitler starved and gassed them.
