Well, imagine the kind of injuries they must get in faith schools while brain-washing themselves with the Koran - all that swinging back and forth and nodding of heads, all whilst kneeling on a cold hard floor.

2. Executing Saddam Hussein was an Act of Vandalism

Well, of those 'usual arguments against the death penalty' the most used is that someone innocent might be hanged, so that doesn't really apply. Anyway, this argument is somewhat bankrupt and it's about time an unbiased comparison was made between the numbers of innocents who might be hanged and the number of innocents killed by scumbags who should have been hanged but where released. Also a look at the costs involved would be interesting, like, what might the millions it costs to keep a murderer in prison be more usefully spent on? How many innocent lives might be saved with that money?

But I agree: Saddam should not have been given the hemp neck-tie. The American soldiers who found him in that hole in the ground should have taken some pictures to prove they found him, then tossed in a grenade and filled in the hole. The process could be called 'evolution in action'.

All respect Mr Dawkins to your books, your fierce intelligence and your stand against this virus called religion, but really you need to get out from those 'cloisters of academe' where you received your political indoctrination and take a long hard look at the real world.

I thought that long ago the idea that evolution violates the 2nd law had been ridiculed and consigned to the bin. Here it is rearing its ugly head again, rather like belief system it stems from.
