1. Richard Dawkins infected with Satanic 'virus of mind', Christian group claims

Atheist: Religion is blind faith
Theist: Atheism is blind faith
Atheist: Creationism is unscientific
Theist: Evolution is unscientific
Atheist: Religion is a mind virus
Theist: Atheism is a mind virus
Isn't this just a long winded way of them saying "oh yeah?!"
2. Art teacher made student pray to Jesus for forgiveness

As punishment this teacher should have to pray to Satan for forgiveness in front of her church, oh and to take the blasphemy challenge. See how she likes having to profess things she doesn't believe in.
3. Eoin Colfer to write sixth Hitchhiker's Guide book

"Approximately 16m copies of Hitchhiker books have been sold worldwide"
Where can I get one of these 16 metre books?
4. Evolution fine but no apology to Darwin: Vatican
Comment #249184 by theinquisitor on September 17, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Ah theistic evolution, the idea that the all loving all powerful god couldn't be bothered to do the designing himself, so he chose to use suffering and pain and death as his method of showing his love to the world. An animal is the way it is because it has been sculpted into that shape by the death of all it's ancestors' siblings for millions of generations.
This outstrips even the cruelty in the bible itself. I'd like to see an explanation of the death of trillions of animals by starvation, disease and injury that uses the free will of humans that haven't even evolved yet as an excuse. The only consolation of the fact that there was and is so much suffering is that there ISN'T an overmind.
5. Sharia courts operating in Britain

"the rulings were not binding and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims"
This is completely missing the point. The social pressure in that community will make voluntary in the sense that if you don't comply then you're an infidel who will be ostracised from the community. They'll say things like "why aren't you obeying the law of allah?" These people need to see Dispatches: Undercover Mosque. This is outrageous.
6. Robert Winston criticises dangerous 'science delusion'
Comment #247433 by theinquisitor on September 14, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Does Robert Winston think that every religious person believes the way he does? If the God Delusion doesn't describe your religious belief, then Dawkins isn't talking to you, he's talking to those whose religious beliefs fit with his description. There are a great many people whose beliefs actually were described accurately by Dawkins, and of course there are some that don't fit, and to those people the arguments obviously don't apply. Can't you do better than the no true scotsman fallacy? What about all the people who read the God Delusion and then gave up their religious beliefs because Dawkins was spot on with his criticisms? Were they "not really religious" or something Robert Winston?
7. Charles Darwin to receive apology from the Church of England for rejecting evolution
Comment #247420 by theinquisitor on September 14, 2008 at 12:08 pm
How about they abandon all claims to certainty from here and just admit that their religious beliefs are of no more merit than any other opinion? That would be better.
How about stating clearly that these claims about virgin births and ressurections are of no factual merit whatsoever? They're apologising for their conclusions rather than their methods, totally missing the point.

Why not another sticker underneath their one explaining the dishonesty and underhanded nature of the above sticker? Don't play into their hands, fuck them up by pointing out how they are trying to lie to people. Regardless of people's opinions about evolution, they don't like to be lied to.
