You are forgetting that we still have a state church in Norway, with many religious nutters who are defending it. It is all too frustrating, since there are so many secularists in Norway - even the prime minister is not a member of any church.
I think, however, that Sweden and Denmark are more secular than Norway is today, considering these things. They have better laws when it comes to stem cell research and I get the impression that there are far more fundies in Norway, and so on.
