1. Feb 12th: Happy Darwin Day!

I'm honouring the great man today by eating a food that I've NEVER EATEN BEFORE. Any suggestions? Maybe a finch....?

2. Darwin Day (Feb 12th) E-Cards

Can someone set up a Facebook group to get everyone to celebrate DARWIN DAY on 12 Feb? The idea would be that everyone (especially kids) would be encouraged to EAT SOME FOOD that they have NEVER EATEN BEFORE.

I'd do it, but I've just set up a Scouse Night group for Feb 28th, and it's a little similar. I guess I'm just obsessed with food.

4. Militant atheists: too clever for their own good

What begins to emerge - and it lurked strongly behind the anti-religion side of the Intelligence Squared debate - is the idea that atheism is an elite state, a superior order of being, a plane of enlightenment denied to thickoes.

Actually, yes. Because if you believe that a magic flying jew saved the world by getting nailed to a tree you are, let's face it, a fuckwit. And I for one don't want anything to do with them or their borderline psychopathic beliefs.

The title of this article should have been 'in praise of pig-ignorance' and I hope it makes every believer who reads it think "Hmm, I'm not a thicko! I better become an atheist. I'd hate for Charles Moore to think I was an bloody idiot."
