Just thought I'd watch the video again and leave a comment on the YouTube site but the video is no longer available there. Wonder why?
"We are currently performing site maintenance. Be cool - we'll be back 100% in a bit."

it's that they were punished for 'disrespecting' a known paedophile

According to the more detailed article in the telegraph, a parent said:

Making them pray to Allah, who isn't who they worship, is wrong and what got me is that they were told they were being disrespectful."

I interpret this as being disrespectful towards the teacher. The idea that the children were punished, because they were disrespectful to some prophet, might have been added by some journalist or a parent might have misunderstood the situation.

Here's the original version in the "Chronicle":

There's more information in the article on the Telegraph:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2247388/Schoolboys-disciplined-for-'refusing-to-pray-to-Allah'.html

It was claimed that the boys, from a year seven class of 11 and 12-year-olds, were given detention after refusing to take part in a practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped.

The teacher, Alison Phillips, the school's subject leader in RE, is understood to be staying away from the school until the furore dies down, although she has not been suspended.

Deputy headmaster Keith Plant said: "I have spoken to the teacher and she has articulately given me her version of events."

Sources at the school said the incident could have been down to Miss Phillips instigating a role play and not properly briefing the pupils, all aged around 12, what she was doing.

"Educating children in the beliefs of different faiths is part of Cheshire's diversity curriculum on the basis that knowledge is, of course, is essential to understanding.

@huzonfurst

Read the article again: The teacher is no muslim. The prayer was meant as a demonstration.

All children have the same needs and demands: They need a good portion of education.

I like 10:10, where the moderator is shown yawning because of Ash's boring monologue
