His press assistant, Seda Aral, said: "We are not against freedom of speech or expression but you cannot insult people."

This fiasco is an insult to people's intelligence.

Are the Turkish people intellectually retarded to a point that they are unable to draw their own conclusions or have their own thoughts about evolution? Of course they are not.

This is an example of controlling religius authoritarianism at it's most obvious. I think it is fair to say that Professor Dawkins challenges all creationists equally by 'explaining' the mechanisms by which evolution works.

For this individual to take such challenges to faith in the validity of creationism so personally implies a breath-taking capacity for narcissistic solipsism.

Fascinating! Thanks to all at RDF for helping to start my day in quiet contemplation. Now I'm off to teach 200 8 year-olds! Keep it up PROF. (I wonder what the next book is going to be?)
