1. Gay scientists isolate Christian gene

Almost as funny are the comments on the hosting site. It seems lots of people (guess which sort) don't understand that it's a spoof.

2. Christopher Hitchens on Books & Ideas

Richard Morgan: it's a "bug" in the forums - the character set is wrong. Try changing your browser's Character Encoding to UTF-8.

3. 'Root of All Evil? The Uncut Interviews' Released on DVD

Just in case you didn't realise (I almost didn't!) - this DVD doesn't contain the original series, just the extended interviews.

4. The hitch in Hitchens' thinking

Unfortunately even sceptics can make up new verbs. Here's Michael Shermer saying "Science is a verb":

5. Richard Dawkins on Hardtalk

I think you're "all" being overly harsh on Stephen Sackur. The programme is just fine. This long running series is called "HARDtalk" for a reason. Not interview. Not debate. Sackur isn't an expert on this topic but a (direct, and very good) journalist. So much better than almost every other Dawkins discussion I've seen.

6. Is Christianity Good for the World?

Comment #39148 by fergusg on May 10, 2007 at 5:04 am

Rtambree, I wish that lives debates were like that. But did you see the recent one (q.v., this site) between Hitchens and (Rev.) Al Sharpton? Sharpton repeatedly tried to probe Hitchens about "God", but the insisted on replying with a Christianity-is-bad argument. Formal give-him-time-to-answer debates rarely satisfy either.

Has anyone written down that "Jewish minx" quote? I fancy having a T-shirt printed with it on.

8. A Brief History of Disbelief

Comment #37571 by fergusg on May 5, 2007 at 2:17 am

No DVDs I'm afraid, according to the show's site:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/yoursay/disbelief.shtml

"BBC Four: There are currently no plans to release a video/DVD of the series"

9. A Brief History of Disbelief

It's mildly amusing that the programmes' titles are "Atheism: A ROUGH History of Disbelief" but they are almost universally referenced as "Brief", even on it's own BBC website page.
