It's such a shame that a satire of, to be polite, undesirable television shows should be taken to court for blasphemy, yet homeopaths, priests and other charlatans are free from prosecution for telling lies about the universe.

May I place emphasis on one line?
"I'm just wondering aloud why we all accept it so readily, without even thinking about it"
I do not think Richard is advocating sleeping around, rather drawing attention to the unthinkingness of the presumption that it is automatically wrong.
Regardless, it is good to have our morals questioned from time to time, if only to be sure we really believe them.
This article did indeed, make me think. I'm still glad myself and my partner engage in a monogamous relationship, perhaps even more strongly for having being forced to think about it.
Is that not what this site is for - to make us think?
