My concern is not so much with Romney, what after all is an Imperial Wizard of the Mormon Church supposed to say, but with the news coverage. How can he claim that you can't have "Religion without freeedom and freedom without religion," and news orginizations not notice the roughly 6,000 years of recorded human history makes precisely the opposite point? To me, this is the scary thing. In the name of religion, you can get away with saying anything and the broader media will not uttter a peep. Oh, unless your Muslim and then you are subject to blatant abuse.
