Dear Mr. Scales,
I'm so glad Mr. Dawkins has been allowed to acknowledge your important help to a public who so desires actually seeing those rare figures who are most meaningful to our ideas, our ideals.
So thank you so much for supporting RDFRS and all that entails. I've often hoped there might be another George Soros out there. Someone who cares about the causes that I do, but who has perhaps had more monetary success than I have had (so far). Your hard work is truly bearing fruit!
Thank you for your military service, a time when the world was in great need of brave soldiers fighting another just cause.
My father also has a pace maker, put in just this past year. He's doing very well. It's "activated" a number of times and is doing its job well.
This United States representative salutes you. A toast in your honor!
Most respectfully yours,
Seamus

Yes. Quite typical.

"And then you would have us believe that atheism is only non-belief in God! That's a pretty big part for a non-belief to play! "
What's your problem or point?

7. Atheism helps us to see reality as it actually is, without the mental filters of superstition preventing us from directly experiencing it.
8. Atheism shows us that we can gain meaning by seeking to make our world a better place, for ourselves and our posterity.
9. Atheism teaches us to treasure this moment, this life, and this world — because we realize that it's all we have.

Just wanted to say I truly appreciate those of you willing to debate any particular theist/deist in such a rational and friendly manner, something I've not always seen reciprocated or been capable of myself.
For me, far too rarely have I found the theist answering questions put forth in entirety or something akin to that.
Rather, like the dogmatic papyrus they follow, they pick and choose what they hope gives best effect to poorly reasoned thoughts, leaving out the inexplicable.
Thank you for your efforts.

Strange, but I much prefer thinking of wooter as Mike Huckabee's manager -- than that of young and impressionable minds.

I want to like the film for what it is, but it could have been much, much more.
The hope for a defining film that will elevate atheistic ideals above the delusional din below awaits yet another day.

Whew and wow.
Two offbeat observations.
Though certainly not affecting Dennetts' reasoning, Deep Blue's human team was accused of "assisting" the computer's logic core during breaks and refused to show its logs. Cranes for the crane?
Regarding Dawkins and the mentioning of beavers, I'm reminded of a funny and well thought out letter:

Thank you rod-the-farmer for trying to affect a difference. I try to do simple things like contacting places to get them to change too. Wish more of us would.
I will also submit a response in kind respect of Professor Carl Sagan. I trust this effect -- rather than wish-thinking -- may one day work.
Hmm, the positive pyramid scheme...

Thought Borders funny on this one and should seriously consider shopping there more often.
