Comment #177592 by kram50 on May 9, 2008 at 10:39 am
O'Connor said:
Unbelievers construct their own god so that they can knock him down easily.
I don't ever recall constructing a god. I do remember years and years of listening to the story told by an endless number of pastors, ministers, church elders, relatives, school teachers, girl friends, TV crooks...et.al.
Now you tell me who constructed the sky daddy!
Then he goes on to say that nonbelief is dangerous...what a crock!!!
I don't need religion to find truth and meaning...I find no comfort in a fairy tale.
Keep up the good work Richard!!
2. My Response to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach
Comment #177363 by kram50 on May 9, 2008 at 1:29 am
I don't think Boteach was at all offended. He used this as a PR opportunity. What a rant!!
What else do these people have to cling on to..it's like they are scrambling to maintain damage control at every turn.

I had the misfortune of witnessing Stein on CNN with Glen Beck..(who shares his dribble). The crap that came out of his mouth was incredible. I couldn't watch for long...made me very frustrated to hear two grown men support each others lies.
My challenge to Mr. know-it-all Beck is to invite someone on his show with more intelligents to tell the audience the truth. What are the chances of that happening??
As well, wasn't Hitlers evil plan the divine handywork of an invisible "sky daddy".
You can't have it both ways!!
What a crock of crap!!
5. Interviews with Richard Dawkins and Michael Shermer
Comment #164023 by kram50 on April 19, 2008 at 12:37 pm
I agree with Richard....It won't be long before more and more believers get there heads screwed on the right way. It would be safe to say that the "moderates" are likely to do so first.
I see this as most important. After all, I really don't think they truly believe...they are just holding on for fear of what others might think, and of course, fear of eternity in a burning hell.
Get over it!!
Keep up the good work Richard!
6. Richard Dawkins on The Big Questions
Comment #157646 by kram50 on April 9, 2008 at 11:26 am
I still don't get the whole fallin angel thing! If the all-powerful... know it all created everything then he must have created angels too. If an angel fell and became the devil, then he must not be as powerful as he claims. Wow, what a bad start to the beginning of human existance.
But, it was his plan right?...his will! What a crock!! He can't even get it right from the beginning! And people beleive this!
This makes me want to reach through the screen, take the stupid ones by the neck and shake the living stupidity out of them. I would start with the "not to be mayor".
I do like these types of debates though...it enforces the passion that I share with Richard, and that is..search for the truth.
There is not one thing that a theist has said in any forum that makes me even consider the possibility of God. They are far from convincing.

I say turn it into a an amusement park ride just for the religious.
Strap them in with seat belts...stand underneath with a large basket, and catch the offering.
After all...we are going to have to buy more life insurance if the world is coming to an end in May.
Damn!!!...I better get my spring cleaning done before it's too late!

bassbastard...you are so right!!
Reading an article like this just drives it home even more (not to mention the rest of the crap that flows from the minds of the deluded).
Look at the questions Brackin has asked.
-Do you have fears about what would happen to you ?
-Do you feel that there is a hostile environement?
This appears to me as if he was hoping that somehow religious folks that have nothing to do with this would see these questions and immediately (with both hands covering there mouth) say, Oh my, is this what the non-believer does? Oh my gosh!!!
These people are so afraid of the truth they will try anything.
Who are they trying to fool?

Mathis,...dishonest, flaming idiot, coward. Just another example of the fools desperate attempt at damage control. Somehow you just get the feeling that these creationist fools are going to lose all control of their frontal lobes and shoot themselves in the foot for the last time! Oh, but gawd will be there to save the day!!! Isn't there a pill that they can take.
11. Debate between Richard Dawkins and Madeline Bunting
Comment #126953 by kram50 on February 14, 2008 at 2:50 pm
I would agree that Madeline is not stupid . If she was, then we would have to label all deluded individuals with a weak argument as stupid. We all know that there are many, smart people in this world who can't bring themselves to point of reason. Maybe "Critical Thinking" has something to do with it.

I'm way past the point of lauphing at religion...now I feel frustration and an increased level of vexation that makes me want to shake the delusion out of credulous fools.
I'll get over it...maybe!

I put everything on hold when I have a chance to watch Mr. Dawkins do what he does best....a wonderfull film, keep them coming!! I would also cosider a set of videos.
There are some people I know that would benefit from watching...I think it's time(way over due)that people get educated...too much garbage has gone in...makes me ill thinking about it!

Great stuff...How could a thiest read something like this and not agree? It is so crystal clear and right to the truthfull point. I would assume that not agreeing to Mr. Hitchen's essay would be for the same reasons many needy, down-and-out, gullible, exploitable, tell me and I'll beleive it people who get sucked in by parasites like Haggart, Robertson, Baker, Popalot or whatever his name is, et.al. who are in the position of great influence, much like in the Jesus era...not to mention Constitine and his mob.
15. Interview with Richard Dawkins
Comment #116656 by kram50 on January 27, 2008 at 1:31 am
I have just recently torn away from nearly a lifetime of increasingly unbelievable and credulous bullcrap. I shake my head when I hear uneducated folks like John ranting on about something he really knows nothing about. And why is it that some educated people refuse to open up to the vast amount of evidence piling up in favor of evolution and let that bulb light up in their heads. It took me a long time but somewhere in the back of my mind I could never fully grasp all the confusing dogma. I can't thank you enough Mr. Dawkins for your book (God Delusion) and of course Hitchens and Onfrey. I keep up tp date with this site and feel better about my life more now than when I ever did tossing my hard earned money into sucking baskets..although it did cost me a relationship with a great lady. I used to
(try) to get comfort from the Pastor when crisis would hit. But, somehow all the praying for me and my loved ones never, ever made one bit of difference. I don't think they will ever see me again and it sure won't be after I'm resting for good. Now I would rather sit and listen to Mr. Dawkins any day of the week...this gives me what I have been missing for far too long. Thanks
As for John...I'm still shaking my head.

I don,t know if RD has ever been to Alberta Canada, and I don,t know how he would be accepted. But I really would anticipate any reaction that gets people talking. I think he is the most enjoyable speaker on our behalf (I wish I could articulate as good as he does). If anyone out there knows of furure visits near here by RD or either of the 4 horses, please let me know. There are other good, moral, reasonable friends of mine that would very much like to listen to him. I would call in sick (or delusional)sell my wifes gardening tools, miss a hockey game, well...you know. I look forward to the day. In the meantime I will contine to enjoy everyones comments and keep track as best I can to this sight. It's great!
