1. Richard Dawkins lecture at ASU's Tempe Campus

It'd be easy to match the video from youtube with the audio from the mp3

2. What is science for?

The ideas and concepts discussed were very fascinating but they seemed to be encased in a plethora subjective philosophy--it struck me as rambling. It left me a bit dissatisfied. It felt as though not much meat and potatoes was delivered in these talks. If the purpose was just to get us to think I suppose it hit the mark, but I'm not sure if offered much else.

Sam is the absolute best. It's going to be fascinating to see how his thinking and attitudes develop further as time passes...

I too am impressed time and time again by Sam Harris. The level of clarity in his thought is so refreshing. I hope for a future where more people think like this and beyond.

I found this to be a fascinating discussion! I wish more people took this stuff seriously and were interested in getting involved.

6. A match made on RichardDawkins.net?

Very nicely written and congratulations!

I couldn't jump on board with all of what was said but it does frustrate me extensively that many people have preferred ignorance over advancing our survival. It's hard to imagine how far we could go and what great feats we would accomplish under a global unity.

I think disposing of religious and supernatural faith would be the biggest unifying step forward, but people have to choose it. Since I've become atheist, I wish I could go back and fix all the damage faith did and I am so sorry to the world for being a part of the worst problem.

This was an enjoyable and informative talk. It's sad to me to think that humans will probably continue to hold on to non-reality based conclusions for many generations to come. I'm hoping as the science and information comes in, it will be easier and easier to dislodge ignorance in the masses and replace superstition with natural processes which actually do work and do explain things beautifully.

I wish I were born in the time when religion is almost always laughed off.

I feel bad for richard being invited to these things and having to listen to such ridiculous non-sense all the time
