1. Biologist Teaches the Nation's Judges About Genetics

Comment #202399 by Forti on July 1, 2008 at 12:38 pm

In America, JUDGES don't know what DNA is? Holy shit. Here I am sitting in a backwards Catholic-ruled Republic of Poland and we have genetics taught in middle school. I can't imagine anyone having trouble with DNA.

Then again, there was a time when I couldn't believe that anyone would have trouble with evolution in the 21st century.

Silly me.

My guess is that it's a parody.

Poe's Law strikes back! :D

Was anyone else thinking about the HDM trilogy's concept of multiverse while reading this?

Why would they need 'labs and real scientists' anyway? They should have more faith.

If this isn't a joke, and there are really people in the US who think like that... leave the fucking country. Please. You'll get free healthcare in the EU, and we have cookies.
What? We don't want the US' Christian bigots over here, thanks! :P
No, I meant you guys leave the country, not the bigots. You'd be most welcome. ;)

Umm. Guys?

I just read a couple more comic strips from that site and I'm not sure if I'm going to laugh or barf.

If this isn't a joke, and there are really people in the US who think like that... leave the fucking country. Please. You'll get free healthcare in the EU, and we have cookies.

Everyone, imagine sitting in a cinema watching a crappy movie that shows YOU in a bad light and the audience laughing at it.

I mean, holy crap, I wish I had Dr. Dawkins's nerves. If that were me in there, I'd snap. (Then again, I'd probably snap from just watching that thing anyway.)

11. The Great Tantra Challenge

Nice idea, but I predict that someone, sooner or later, would pop up with this:

http://www.tracce.it/arch98/NOV98/ingl11/38in.htm

I'm actually curious about the story. If it's so "well-documented", as the author claims, I'd like to learn more about these 'documents'. Is there actually a teeny tiny chance that a leg COULD be grown back as described in this article? (Without any interference of the sky fairies, of course.)

^ Think of the time you'd have to waste before you'd earn it.

I'm adding 'geekery' to my list of favourite words now.

20. The Passion of 'Anonymous'

Comment #125229 by Forti on February 11, 2008 at 5:18 am
Anonymous is no longer the hacker group that will fill your myspace page with gay porn or troll you in habbo hotel. It's become an activist group against the Practices of the church of scientology.
And as long as it stays that way, I'm all for it.

Anonymous gives the internet, and atheists, a bad name. We may all agree with them about their anti-Scientology campaign, but I'm glad that the article mentions their methods so you don't get a false image.

For other 'noble causes' they've fought for, google Subeta incident.
