Gems:
One way it could work is reorienting her senses to work through her eyes again. She's combining the sensory input through the tongue apparatus with the visual data, in effect training her eyes to affect her balance without the bit of her brain that was damaged.
She was balancing with her eyes alone, I think.

But if there are no predators, the pressure to reproduce decreases and you can spend more energy on repairing your damaged molecules."

I am definitely planning on having this done, and also trying to talk my mother into doing it as well, so we can trace both lines of our (my) descent.
And I would be more than happy to share my results.

What do Christians think the Y-chromosome of Jesus was like?

So, I can have these guys trace my genetic heritage back to the dawn of civilisation?
Where do I sign up?

Well, if they could actually come up with an alternative theory as to explain the complexity of life that isn't "God did it!", then I say more power to them, criticize Darwin all you want.
However, I don't believe that to be the case in this particular instance.
8. Supreme Court to consider Ten Commandments vs. 'Seven Aphorisms'

Reckon we could get the Pentabarf (upside down, of course) displayed next to the ten commandments as well?
I suppose we'd have to have a smaller version carved right side up in the name of religious tolerance.
Hail Eris.

Note that this is comment #152195, which contains two 5's (Law of Fives). It was also posted in 2008(2008 - 8 = 2000, 2000 / 1000 = 2), and on March 30 (30 / 10 = 3) thus giving 23!!!

Bah! Pastafarianism is an upstart, baby religion. We Discordians have been singing praise to Her Wot Done It All since the 70's.
Hows -that- for credibility?
Hail Eris.

These guys have a hard enough time getting any kind of evidence from "haunted" sites, so why are they going to one that isn't haunted in the first place?
At any rate, it always boils down to a bunch of grown men and women running around and scaring each other in the dark which, while fun, should be kept to mental institutions that aren't still housing crazy people.
Just a thought.

Oh, sparrow us the bad puns. Lets not make a parrot-y of this interesting scientific article, as that would be most fowl indeed.

Not only is raising the money an issue (never mind the original billboard company advertising their beliefs for free), but finding a company willing to put up an anti-religious board would be next to impossible, methinks. At least it would be now, after this debacle.

Now, I may only have a laymans understanding of physics, but isn't it the Second Law of Thermodynamics that is directly responsible for the eventual END of the universe?
I reckon if this guy is just breaking fundamental laws of nature willy nilly, we might use it to SAVE the universe from the evil clutches of inevitability and science.

This is wonderful.
As someone whose memory functions more like a sieve than a bucket, the implications of this are astounding.
If I had one, I'd sell my soul for one of these "pacemakers".
As it is, though, I may have to settle for selling my kidney, as I have a spare.

Well, thats a bit unsettling.
I've always found it funny how violently people react to atheism, as if its some sort of personal attack. Might as well as been a "You suck, and your god does too" myspace group.
...actually, that doesn't sound too bad. I think I might start one.

This reminds me of another chess related joke regarding debates with creationists I read once...
"Arguing evolution with a creationist is like playing chess with a pigeon. They knock over all the pieces, crap on the board, and then fly back to their flock, loudly proclaiming victory.
