MAS2007,
My only point was that to ceremoniously destroy something that many believe to be sacred (however silly you and I might find that particular belief), is going too far. I fail to see any point in such an act other than to simply be insulting.
Let's have a dialog, let's protest the Catholic reaction to Mr. Webster. But let's NOT resort to acts that have no apparent purpose other than to offend and insult.

Steve Zara and Decius are missing my point. And you're way off if you think I care about the fate of a cracker.
My point is simply that I see no reason to offend for the sake of offending. What is the real reason for PZ's proposed demonstration? If it's to show how ridiculous beliefs can be, he is going about it the wrong way. Of course, this is just my opinion. I thought that's what these posts were supposed to be.

I've got to be honest... I'm not sure how I feel about this. The overreaction by Catholics is typical and silly. But I'm not sure I agree with what Myers is doing either.
I mean, to offend for the sake of offending seems awfully childish to me. I was with him until he expressed his desire to purposely offend Catholics by desecrating the Eucharist. That seems a little over-the-top to me and I can't support that.

This is possibly the best Dawkins' interview I've heard yet. In less than 5 minutes he says it all. Bravo!

I live in Chicago and what I want to know is why this wasn't splashed across the front page of either major local newspaper? To my knowledge, this hasn't hit any of the local news!
Aside from a short column by Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune (whom I applaud for reporting on this incident), this has been noticeably absent from the media.
If I somehow missed any news articles on this, I'd appreciate being pointed to them. Thanks.

I'm generally an abirthdayist, at least when it comes to what's left to accomplish. But if you believe, then happy b-day!!

Wow, that seems almost illegal to me. And even if it isn't, it's certainly the height of stupidity to let Dawkins slip through... This is hilarious!
If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read somewhere that Dawkins was tricked into being interviewed for this movie. So maybe they have to let the stars attend? -lol?
I hope we won't have to wait too long for Dawkins' review.
