Ha! Who would have thought that RELIGION is part of the GAY AGENDA? It all makes sense now.

Easy. You declare them untermenschen and get some trains going.
(But nobody advocated this, please don't bring out the flame throwers.)

I think we all need more tea. We are mostly arguing against positions nobody ever held.
This includes you, al-rawandi:
I never said "Send them home", for third generation Muslims.

Number of people a you have to kill to make a whole country go nuts:
USA: ~3000
UK: 52
The Netherlands: 2
Quite some others: 0
Al-rawandi, since you are actually on the more reasonable end of this scale, I'll stop arguing this point. But your "send'em home" plan doesn't fly, at least not for Europe, because there is no "home". Third-generation "immigrants" are citizens, at least in those countries with a sane concept of citizenship (Germany being a notable exception), an they seem to be the most easily radicalised.

Quetz:
Maybe. But what is the sane response to someone trying to instill panic? Preemptive panic?

The jihadis only need a bomb and a willing human body which seem to be in no short supply.

I still don't get it. Nobody of those who couldn't have predicted the threats, the preƫmptive apologies, the media outrage and Broder's usual ramblings will suddenly start glowing with enlightenment now.

But... what was his point? After the Danish cartoons, Submission and "Muhammad" there is nothing left to prove, or so I thought.

I'm always reflexively defending postn-modernism as a concept, but after reading a whole book full of this kind of wisdom I would probably feel a lot dumber than before -- and hopelessly modern.

Wilders, the "concerned" Dutch government and the press all worked very hard to provoke threats. Seems like they finally found some idiots willing to be offended. I see tools on all sides of this.

I understand that the militant anti-rappists among you have a hard time detecting both the considerable amount of respect this video pays to its protagonists, and its humour. It must really sound nasty to innocent ears. But you are still wrong.

It has failed.

Yeah, this is totally a viral ad for Expelled. Nevermind the wrong X in the logo. Nevermind the almost loving attention to the 'New Atheists' and their respective in-jokes. Nevermind the fact that the 'overall tone', which is invoked as proof here, is dictated by the medium.
Nevermind the absence of Ben Stein.
And by the way, hi (and sorry) to all. It's probably bad etiquette to be so angry in my first half-serious post, but holy shit, go get a clue. I mean, Jesus.

Pathfinder's posts are clearly the product of intelligent design. His orthography is so finely tuned for comical effect that it couldn't possibly have emerged from random mistakes.
Plus, he has bullied clearthinker into posting a coherent paragraph. Teleological argument anyone?

Pathfinder: Trolling means being deliberately offensive without contributing seriously to the discussion. I think your comment about Einstein unleashing lesbianism to destroy the Christian world qualifies, unless you know something we don't know. Feel free to elaborate.
