1. Cartoons from Turkey

Here is a link to an article criticizing banning of richarddawkins.net in one of the most prominent newspapers in Turkey.

Shortly, it says that banning richarddawkins.net is worse than banning youtube (yes it is banned in Turkey) because it is a scientific web site. Such things affect Turkey's image negatively etc.

That's not true, see here:

OK that must be right-not much difference though. But my second point, I think, is very important. -There are almost no creationists that are university graduates in Turkey-. You have to make a distinction between a poorly educated public being creationist and well educated, prominent persons believing in YEC.

Also, Islam has no problem with billions of years.

Creationism in Turkey isn't more widespread than in the US. Also, there is almost no creationist with a university degree as opposed to the US.
In addition, those types of mocking cartoons have always been published. This is not something that Turks have newly learned.

4. Six 'uniquely' human traits now found in animals

It's all a matter of degree. Animals have less morals, less personality, less tool use, etc. But they have them to a certain degree.
So, nothing special about humans!
