It is rather disturbing to know why a black puppy is the problem in the first place.
Traditionally, it is referenced to a Hadith by the prophet where he pointed to three things that would spoil a prayer:
1. A Donkey
2. A black Dog
3. A woman
When asked why a black dog, he replied that Satin inhabits the black dog. Of course, no one had wondered why women are in the list, it's the seventh century.
This is the origin of the hatred towards dogs as I know it. So, yes this is even more outrageous than the original outrage. That particular Hadith also lead to the separation between men and women at the mosques.
No word on the donkey though.
2. Philippe Starck: Why design?

Well said LaTomate.
However, as a designer myself, I know that the primary function is to solve spatial and utilitarian problems with novelty. Evolution in design could be just a metaphor for natural evolution, but I deeply sense that our thoughts and solutions are deeply rooted in our past, inherited by millions of years of the surviving chain of the selfish gene. The mysterious way of how ideas in design are generated suggests that.
3. Discussion between Richard Dawkins and Paula Kirby

Wow, the professor is so elegant and convincing as Cristiano Ronaldo. Scoring is inevitable.
One tiny critique though, the sofa should have been given to the guest interviewee rather than the interviewer. A known protocol
4. Richard Dawkins interviewed by John Humphrys on Cardinal Murphy O'Connor

The Cardinal's voice and message seemed as though it is a cry for mercy after an aknowledged defeat. Hmm, I wonder why?
I sense a paradigm shift in the way religion is addressed. Instead of superimposing itself on cultural and individual boundaries, it is trying to blend as an important cultural component to people. A survival mechanism, perhaps an extended phenotype too.

I suppose you're rather young. Before those Islamic terrorist attacks religion was rather a non-issue in the Western countries.

ridelo..I wish I was young and ignorant as you have implied. There is some reading you need to do before you start accusing people of ignorance due to their age.
Religious terrorism has been around for decades, but so as other forms of terrorism. To say religion is harmless, is far from being even close to the truth, which we all care about; I suppose.
Keywords to start with: Beirut, Northern Ireland, Israel, Hamas, and the list goes on and on.

On Fanny Kiefer's TV interview, next morning, I was shocked to hear Dr. Dawkins say that before 9/11 he sought religion as a harmless nonsense. With all respect to my hero Dr. Dawkins, but how could that be? harmless?!! one more time and I will be Adawkinsist :)
7. Open Letter to a victim of Ben Stein's lying propaganda

This is like putting the blame on Isaac Newton for explaining the principles of Gravity, hence, the ballistic missiles.
