I kind of knew about what you said in the first paragraph. The second one was more like what I was looking for. Thanks.

Can anyone explain this "before" thing? I was under the impression that there was no "before", at least not as we know it. What is the current knowledge on this and what is the most accepted hypothesis "beyond" it?
Thanks.

I don't think the court has ever recognized the existence of Santa Claus.

I agree and enjoy every video Pat has posted. However, I do agree that in some of his comments, he gets too excited making him look prejudiced and ad hominem.
Anyway, the ban is still idiotic.

Too bad PZ is floating somewhere in the south Pacific and can't get the Pharyngulites all riled up to swing that thing around. Although I don't think they can swing this, it's already over 100,000 votes submitted.

Do you know what the sad part is? Most people (theist) read this and tell me "I don't see why you get all worked up about it".

That would be truly sad. They are right, once a state is "converted", other will sure follow. Then, what will stop other countries like Mexico (where I live) to start doing the same thing followig the US example.
Keep in mind that in Mexico over 90% of its population is catholic.

Science is learning so much. I am anxious to hear the news the day science creates life.
I often imagine how far more advanced humanity would be if the money spent (for example) on Abrahamic hate, wars, and oppression was directed instead to science. I venture to say we would be thousands of years ahead of where we are now.

Noneoftheabove, I was thinking the same as you did when I was reading all those comments. However, it is not hard to understand why people act the way they did when someone like Bullet comes here preaching their "knowledge". That is what sets people off. The fact that they don't ask questions or say "I believe this and that", but because they come "showing us wrong". Of course, insults and bad language are always unnecessary. Even when most of the people who come here and think like him are complete trolls, we must maintain our composure at all times.

For non-Americans: the "fairness doctrine" was a piece of shit legislation that would allow the FCC to FORCE private broadcasting companies to air opposing viewpoints. It would effectively put an end to any sort of partisan/independent radio stations and pave the way for centrally dominated and federally controlled airwaves.
