I read that humor happens when you recognize something that surprises you. People who are a lot smarter than me find jokes funny that I can see a mile away, so that's obviously not the whole story.

Other dimensions are edginess (anti-social, mean), goofiness (self-awareness of stupidity), and wit (brevity, intelligence).

There is no evidence for god (it's also logically absurd, and that I CAN understand, but that's beside this point), and there is evidence for quantum theory. It makes predictions, and the predictions turn out to be accurate. That I understand. I also understand that if it didn't make accurate predictions, then there would be serious doubts about its value, which there aren't.

Somebody else brought up the point about trusting that the boeing 747 will get you to your destination safely, despite not having the foggiest idea about how it works. This is not faith, because there is evidence that 747s work. Are you really this dumb or just bored?
