Also - is this not a major cock-up, surely he should be advocating 'ID' or 'creation science', i thought the tag 'creationism' had disappeared from fundie literature?

I think that distinction is mainly meant to try to slide past US separation-clause issues. Creationism has been firmly established as religious so they needed a new term. Don't know if that's so important in the UK.

The sad thing is that every time atheists (or even agnostics) try something like this the religious get offended and claim they're being oppressed by those "aggressive atheist fundamentalists."

Doesn't mean it's not a great idea though!
