She is a Picasso of American spirit. Scary.

Comment #264370 by Village_Idiot on October 14, 2008 at 9:57 am

A horrible title that can be only justified by the specific nature and IQ level of the recipients, which would be the cheering for Sarah Palin crowd.

"Evolution For Idiots, Mormons and Christians" would be a more appropriate one*...

[*Disclaimer: The publisher apologizes for not including your religion in the title.]

3. 'All Terrorists are Darwinists': An Interview with Harun Yahya

Comment #252663 by Village_Idiot on September 23, 2008 at 1:29 pm

Harun Yahya is a troubled man win no formal education. His figure, to a large degree, reflects the sate of mind of the whole Turkey.

It's going to be a worldwide celebration of the collapse of Darwinism. People are going to be amazed at how on Earth they could ever have believed in Darwinism.

Mysticism, antisemitism, and now creationism and antievolutionism, are eroding Turkey. This man is just a mirror reflection of what is happening in this dangerous, as history has shown, country. Fortunately (or not) he can be dangerous only in a country just like Turkey with no or weak scientific community that could discredit, ridicule and humiliate this XV century world view.

Did some say that Turkey should be a part of EU? Good joke.

"There was a hold placed on my account that I couldn't sign up for classes...[]...they told me Catholic Campus Ministries filed charges against me."

What charges?! He did not commit a criminal offense and it wasn't a misdemeanor. Why a state-run school is not letting this kid register? Religious cancer is eating this country as you read this post, literally.

Richard Dawkins wrote:

Unfortunately it is a fact and not a suspicion anymore. I see more of Romney, a mormon, and Giuliani,a catholic, on CNN in McCain's campaign, which is extremely bad news in the case McCain wins the election. Ch. Hitchens would probably disagree with me here.

Yes, indeed we disagree on the subject. Contrary to you, I do not care who posts the photographic material. The point was and still is that this is a war between Judaism and Islam, the religious war of the XXI century. Are you able to register the information in the graphic format and compute it correctly or you'd rather switch the subject to your family or weather? People who think I am wrong in this context are wrong or choose to be wrong. Which part don't you understand? The Judaic or Islamic part? Don't waste my time with your disgusting political agenda!

I am truly shocked and under painful impression that this discussion forum is hijacked by a bunch of people who are simply high from self-admiration and who just love to compose and discuss "stuff" exclusively for the pleasure of their shallow ego.
They know who they are. They are drooling, in this very moment, on their keyboards typing a response dripping from pompous phraseology that gives them erection.
Unfortunately personality disorders are very hard to treat and most of psychiatrists agree that narcissistic personality disorder is hardest to treat from all of them.

Yes, but not quite. Nazi were pro eugenics too. Eugenics has been around in modern societies for some time already.

"If anything this is an example of someone going against natural selection"

Not true. Eugenics "helps" natural selection. XXI and XXII century will be employing eugenics on a large scale via various genetic and reproductive bio-technologies. We want to improve ourselves on a genetic level too. Don't we?

Religion is a wonderful thing. Isn't it? Time has stopped in Iran well over a millennium ago, and, since then, people entertain each other by smashing with stones heads of those who do not submit to Allah. It is fun!

If this country ever gets nuclear weapons in its hands we are all dead. Chris Hitchens is so right...

A question: What goes through a persons mind when he/she throws a stone at another defenseless human being with an intention to kill, as in this case?

Edouard, thanks for the input to the discussion. However, you only confirm my thesis that whenever fundamental Islam gets grip of politics in a given country it sends it back in the cultural development by a couple of centuries. Turkey today is struggling and struggling hard for enlightenment. You try to be a loud mouth atheist (even in academia) there then you will quickly understand the meaning of backwardness in that country...

Whoaaa, I feel like a dog under a massive attack of fleas (eg Realaphex, Shonny, Notsobad...etc )
The fleas apparently cannot simply swallow the following statement that I have made:

Turkey is CULTURALLY 500 years behind the rest of Europe

Well, esophageal stricture is a horrible and painful disease, so I decided to help you with the process.
In November, 2007, Turkish prosecution was officially investigating whether to prosecute the Turkish publisher of "The God Delusion", Erol Karaaslan, for publishing Dawkins' book as the book "incites" violence by pointing out violence in the name of religion and attacking "sacred values". The publisher managed to sell only a laughable number of 6,000 copies of Richard's book. Ironically, this investigation just followed a very loud trial of Nobel Prize-winning author, Orhan Pamuk, in 2006, who was accused of "insulting Turkishness" by making comments(!) about the mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks in, the early 20th century. Also, YouTube has been banned twice in Turkey for hosting videos of not so holy politicians who wanted to say "too much truth"...
So, why don't you fleas get off my back and drink some of the fine Turkish backwardness to my health, eh? Thanks! And no, I do not plan to visit Turkey (same goes, probably, for R. Dawkins); I rather stick with civilized countries when I make my vacations plans.
