I like his thoughts on 'comforting'.
Heroin would be comforting to a heroin addict wouldn't it'

I checked out their website and like most religous websites, it was completely one sided. The 'new-atheists' arean't afraid of reading both sides like this article. I guess posting a full essay by Rich instead of quotes from a book might get too many people questioning.

Unfortunately my comment won't have much validity because I can't remember his name but...
A 'well know person here' didn't even make funeral arrangements because he believed so strongly that Jesus would return in his lifetime.
I'm sure if he had a red button on his last day he would have pushed it.

What a find for those guys. I can hear the contriversary brewing already. Although no religious person will believe it was from the time of Christ because they don't trust a scientist to date artifacts.

"We do believe in spirituality," said David Cooper, 59, who belongs to Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church. "It may not necessarily be a type of theistic spirituality."
I can't agree with this. No spirituallity for this bad boy.

In Islam, even if you question anything about Allah, you are automatically an infidel. Maybe Mollie thinks if you don't go to church you are atuomatically an atheist. That could be the only way to explain his quote on 'atheists believing in a personal god and praying' stuff.
I would also say 100% of the people attending Palins church believe people have eternal life. How's that for irrational.

If creation does make its way into the public system, maybe they should teach it in English class or Social Studies as an idea. And I will say it again, if Creation and ID are Forced into the cirriculum, then evolution should be taught in sunday school.

That makes sense. I think it all started when someone said 'we are all sheep' and we follow the shepard. (Mr. Christ: just in case) I would be interested in checking out their book. Catchy title that might make some people wince.

I agree with thrutraffic. Inform everyone of all the wacked out ideas. I'm not positive but I bet scientology is brewing one up right now. And if the courts rule to teach ID in public schools, then evolution must be forced on the children of Sunday School. Fair is fair.
